The Constitutional Committee (CC) of the Constituent Assembly (CA) is all set to begin preparing the draft of the constitution by compiling the preliminary drafts submitted by various thematic committees at the CA after deliberations on the drafts completed, Thursday.
A CA meeting on Thursday directed the CC to compile the reports and prepare a draft of the new constitution after completing deliberations on the report submitted by the state restructuring committee. There are eleven such thematic committees including the CC itself.
With this, the process of constitution drafting has entered a new phase. Some of the key issues to be incorporated in the new constitution are yet to be settled.
