D'Angelo ends his latest legal fiasco after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct in a prostitution case.
Late last week neo-soul artist D’Angelo plead guilty in a prostitution case that dates back to an incident that happened about a year ago in New York City.
According to Billboard.com, the Virginia-born singer plead guilty to disorderly conduct which is an offence and not a criminal act.
While it was revealed that D’Angelo plead guilty in the case no other details on the conditions of his plea were made public.
In March 2010 D’Angelo was arrested in Manhattan after attempting to pay an undercover officer posing as a prostitute $40 for a sex act. This most recent legal situation is just one of D’Angelo’s many run-ins with the law.
Back in 2005, the 37-year-old singer was found guilty of marijuana possession and driving while intoxicated. As a result of the charges his license was suspended for a year and a half.
While D’Angelo has faced sporadic legal issues in the past decade, he has remained relatively inactive when it comes to music. Voodoo, which was released in 2000, was D’Angelo’s last studio album.
